Introduction
Gregor is an event-aware alert inbox. Your services, scripts, and devices send events to Gregor over HTTP, and Gregor turns them into alerts on your phone and desktop, where you can acknowledge and resolve them.
Concepts
Section titled “Concepts”Alert
: A message shown in your inbox. Every alert has a title, an optional body, and a level: urgent, high, normal, or silent.
Channel : A stable target for alerts. Senders post to a channel, and the channel decides which devices receive the alert. Your device has its own channel from the moment you install the app; after signing in you can create more channels and share them.
Send URL : A secret URL that lets a sender post alerts to one channel and nothing else. Give each sender its own URL so you can revoke or regenerate it independently. Treat it like a password.
Device : An installation of the app on a phone or computer. A device can receive alerts without an account; signing in links it to your account so your channels reach all of your devices.
Acknowledgement : Confirming that someone has seen an alert. Alerts can require acknowledgement, and senders can check the result or receive a callback.
